Eastern/Western Loop Combined (63 mi, 4000 ft ele.)

Middleburg/Leesburg Combined (84 mi, 5700 ft ele.)

Eastern Loop (33 mi. 2500 ft ele.) – Based out of Philomont, route includes Telegraph Springs, Jeb Stuart, and Beaverdam Bridge Rds; plus a fun water crossing and plenty o’ gravel.

Western Loop (29 mi, 1700 ft ele.) – Features classic Loudoun gravel roads including Trappe and Foggy Bottom Rd, with gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge.

Middleburg Loop (36 mi, 3000 ft ele.) – Starting and ending in Middleburg, challenging gravel climbs and historic sunken roads create an unforgettable ride.

Leesburg South Loop (48 mi, 3000 ft ele.) – Start and end in Leesburg with a mix of gravel, pavement, and a short section of W&OD rail-trail for a fully rounded day of biking.

Brewery Loop (32 mi, 2000 ft ele.) – Featuring Dirt Farm Brewing and B Chord Brewery, a route for cyclists looking for a mix of gravel riding and time off the bike.

Gravel and Wine Loop (32 mi, 2300 ft ele.) – Ride a mix of pavement and classic Loudoun gravel, with the option to end the day at Stone Tower Winery and/or Zephaniah Vineyards.

Purcellville Loop (15 mi) – An easy loop around Purcellville with the chance to end the ride by exploring a restaurant or brewery in town.

LoCoAleTrail – (24 mi or your choice) – Bike the W&OD rail trail from Purcellville to Sterling, featuring groups of breweries accessible from the trail.

Riding the Erie Canalway

Loudoun County, Virginia, routes can be ridden throughout the year, but accommodations book early for May, September and October weekends.

Routes are a mix of gravel and paved roads. Must be comfortable biking on roads shared by multiple users, including motor vehicle traffic.

Itineraries assume 2-3 day trips with a choice of routes from easy to challenging so that you can make each day as easy or difficult as you wish.
