Make the OTET Amazing!
Luggage shuttle drivers needed
Noble Invention and Sunshine Luggage Shuttle are joining forces to develop a luggage shuttling network along the Ohio to Erie Trail (OTET), between Cincinnati and Cleveland. This service will increase the ability of cyclists to undertake long-distance tours and discover the incredible bike trails, unforgettable scenery, and friendly people of Ohio.
The shuttle network will require multiple drivers based along the OTET route which runs through Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. Each driver would be expected to deliver luggage between pre-arranged stops roughly within 1-2 hours drive along the trail.
Drivers will be paid $40-80 per job and should expect to be needed for 1-2 shuttles/week. To facilitate the development of this service in 2024, subcontracted drivers will receive a guaranteed base pay of $500/month from June-September, with additional pay based on the number of trips booked. [If you own an existing transportation business, we will contract your services at a separate rate.]
Drivers will be subcontractors to Sunshine Luggage Shuttle and serve both Noble Invention’s bike tours and DIY travelers who book services directly with Sunshine Luggage. All trips would be reserved at least 30 days in advance and drivers must commit to the trip date.
We are looking for drivers who are enthusiastic about tourism and supporting an excellent trip for cyclists.
*Drivers will transport only luggage, no people or bikes.
Drivers must have:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Personal vehicle in good condition with sufficient room to carry luggage.
- Ability to ensure all luggage is picked up and delivered on time in excellent condition.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to shuttle luggage between 9 am and 4 pm, any day of the week.
- Cargo and liability insurance – we can assist with facilitating this coverage.
- Know how to send/receive emails.
- Know how to use apps on smartphones (share location etc.)
